While I love doing renders and building mods, what I really love is technology, anything and everything. Repairing and fixing computers, setting up home theater systems, building custom systems, tweaking hardware, things that some may find tedious or boring.
I have been reading tech blogs for quite some time now, going on about 10 years or so now. And recently I have come to a conclusion that a good deal of them can either be too long, boring to read, dry, or overly complicated with large charts and bench-marking numbers. I have even come across two or three, that have upwards of eight to ten pages worth of information! Ten pages! That's a small children's book, and that's just for one device, it really takes over-analyzing to a whole new level.
What I intend to do is deliver honest, real-world observations an opinions about gadgets and devices that you may use in your every day life. Whether It's tablets, phones, portable music players, video game consoles, alarm clocks, computers, anything that you can think of that may be considered as a gadget. And on occasion an app or two.
This will be a slow process, and I will be taking my time with each item that I will be reviewing. As I am a normal lower class citizen, who can not afford to go out and buy the latest and greatest gadgets. They will come to me as I acquire them, as they would anybody that doesn't work for a large news corporation, or conglomerate, that has the kind of money to just hand out things to let someone use for a month of two before having to give it back. Things that you buy and are stuck with until you either are forced to upgrade, sell, trade, simply give away, or pass along as hand-me-downs.
As I am an avid gamer I might even throw in reviews of games that either I or friends have played, on the various consoles that each of us all own.
I would like to point out that all of this will be done in a non-biased fashion, I do not work for anyone (literally, i'm unemployed!) so I am not being paid for this , I am doing all of it on my own, without any help.
You can expect several reviews of some of the devices that I currently own and use. Such as the HTC Evo 4G, Samsung Intercept, Sony Playstation 3, Casio Exilim, and many more! I will also provide first looks into devices that I come across in person through friends and acquaints. Such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, the T-mobile G2x, and HD7. Motorola Droid X, HTC Incredible 2, numerous Blackberry Phones. As well as other gaming consoles, like the Xbox 360, Nintendo 3Ds,Wii and the upcoming Playstation Vita.
I will be starting this all off with a phone that I have come to love and hate, since I bought it back in April of this year which would be the Samsung Intercept from Virgin Mobile. You can expect the article to be released sometime soon.
Until then, this has been the Honest Geek signing off.
