Man, those hackers seem to work fast. The Vita has been out for less than two months, and hackers were able to get it working nice with PlayStation custom firmware 3.55. The hack tricks the PlayStation 3 into believing the vita is a mobile device, which allows the Vita to take full advantage of the Remote Play feature. In turn allowing the user to play full PlayStation 3 games, provided you have a high enough bandwidth connection.
As this is still in the working stages there is an issue with latency between the controls and the game. But if this is any indication as to how Sony plans to expand the features of Remote Play, then count me in. More footage of games including Red Dead Redemption, and Batman Arkham City can be seen playing friendly with the feature as well. On Homer49's Youtube page.
